INTERVENTION COUNSELING in Louisville by those who love, care about us, is often necessary, and the first step before recovery can began. Without Intervention we may stay in denial of the problems we are creating for ourselves as well as loved ones. Families and loved ones are almost always greatly affected by individuals with: 1) substance abuse or dependency problems, 2) co-dependence problems, 3) psychiatric problems (such as depression, anxiety, panic, ADD, ADHD, PTSD, etc.), 4) mental health problems, 5) relational problems, 6) social problems, 7) workplace problems, 8) gender problems, 9) medical disorder problems, 10) spiritual problems, 11) religious problems and 12) many other behavioral, emotional or spiritual problems of a loved one. Intervene is often necessary for others due to the progressive nature of the alcohol or drug dependency problems, behavioral problems, emotional problems, or spiritual problems or other difficulties. It is a fact that everyone including the immediate family and the extended family are always negatively affected and experience increasing negative consequences over time. Intervention may be initiated by a family, a family member, an extended family, a spouse, a partner, a friend, a group of friends, a court, a diversion sentencing, an alternative sentencing, a grammar school, a high school, a college, a university, a seminary, a trade school, a school board, an employer, an employer, a boss, a business partner, a co-worker, a probation officer, a parole office, a parole board, a minister, a pastor or a church.
Interventions may involve family members, such as parents, grandparents, children, aunts and uncles, clergy, employers, co-workers, best friends, other extended family members, employers, courts, probation officers, parole officers, best friends, Child Protective Services, or other agency personnel who have an investment and care about the individual. Interventions may take place in many varied circumstances including but not limited to a counseling office, an individual’s home, a home of a close relative, an individual’s church, a court setting or an individual’s place of employment and many other settings.
Intervention may include: 1) Consultation with any individual or group, 2) Intervention Planning, 3) Intervention event or process, 4) ongoing counseling, 5) case management as well as 6) counseling through our Outpatient Counseling Program, Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), Marital Program, Family Counseling Program, Family Reunification Program, Parenting Program or our Dual Diagnosis Counseling Program for those with many different dependency problems or other emotional issues.
